I'm working on a painting that will be uploaded to this site. It is specifically for those in the theatre community. As soon as it is finished, I will post the picture not only in the blog section (here) but also in the Gallery Section. Also, if you want it, I will be putting it up for bid. It won't be a set price, because I would like to see it go to a theatre that fines value in it. As always, for more information you can always email me.
Email: [email protected]. Thanks. With everything that we do as artists, it's always amazing that we are always attempting to get our work seen. Most of the time we have to rent out small venues, little corners of established businesses, or some other area and we pay for it out of our own pockets. This does get expensive for a 'hobby'.
That is why I would like you to consider donating to this site so that I can get the small venues or little corners of established businesses to show my art. Thanks. My paintings are now on E-Bay! Lots of artists I see are posting their pieces on E-Bay and I really believe that's a great place to start. http://www.ebay.com/usr/freeamericaradio Some people that are artists seem to think that everything has to be 'perfect'. I say, "If you want your art to be perfect, take a picture." Art is art. Art is imaginative. Within the imperfections of life, of the world around an artist, are 'perfect'. Lines, circles, waves, movement, colors, and everything we see is, in some degree, 'perfect'. We embellish and exaggerate what we see, giving life to the incredibly small and taking liberties to the 'nth degree' with what we see in our surroundings.
What is art? Art is what is explained above and more. Art is a personal extension of what is in the minds of people that slam clay on a wheel or move a brush on canvas. The various artists that are out in our society come from every background you can imagine. From the 'street artist' to the tattoo artist, art is a lifestyle as well. Personal enjoyment comes from art and being creative. Art is from the heart, measured only by the extent ones imagination can go. Art is . . . ART. You know, when I started painting, which wasn't that long ago, I didn't know how much I would like it. Right now, as of my last count, I have over 50+ paintings. I think I have too many, or do I? I think it's time for 'a show'. What do you think? The picture you see above is one I did on my computer. You can do it too, if you have the patience. Just click 'Start', 'All Programs', 'Accessories', 'paint'. You have to click 'View' and increase the size (view) because it makes it easier to work on. Try it out.
